Your First Float

Float tanks, or Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy (R.E.S.T.) tanks, provide a zero-gravity environment that allows your mind and body to truly rest. Float therapy involves a specially formulated high-salinity water solution using 500 kilograms of Epsom salt magnesium sulfate. Buoyancy makes floating on water feel like floating in air. Even if you don’t know how to swim, you can de-stress, improve sleep, relax, alleviate pain, and heal faster. The benefits are amazing. Before the Session

  • Avoid caffeine and other brain stimulants to help you relax and rest your mind.
  • If you have dyed hair, we recommend coming for a float session at least 12 days after your last dyeing and after 3 washes.
  • Do not shave or epilate 10 hours before the session, as this can cause irritation or slight stinging.
  • It is also recommended not to enter the tank with open wounds.
  • Ideally, have a light meal 1-2 hours before your float session.
  • Use the restroom beforehand to avoid interrupting the experience.
  • You don’t need to bring anything with you; we provide clean towels and toiletries.
  • Arrive at REBORN Float & Spa 15 minutes before your session; this will give our guide time to provide you with a complete overview of the experience.
  • We offer cosmetic Vaseline near each tank to protect any small cuts or scrapes.

During the Session:

  • After removing your makeup, taking a complete body and hair shower with shower gel and shampoo, you can enter the float tank, which contains only 24 cm of water.
  • If you have long hair, please tie it back with an elastic band and wear a textile cap for protection.
  • We recommend floating without a swimsuit for a full sensory deprivation and deep relaxation experience. The salon provides the necessary privacy.
  • Lie down gently; the water will support you effortlessly.
  • You have full control over the tank’s lights and music with a mini remote control. We recommend turning them off at some point to fully immerse yourself, but this is always up to you.
  • Move slowly: first, sit in the middle of the tank, then gently lay back, extending your relaxed arms with your palms facing up beside your head.
  • For proper spinal alignment and to avoid neck discomfort, let your head enter the water; it will pass your ears, reaching above your eyebrows.
  • Avoid touching your face while floating to prevent salt from getting into your eyes and nose. You’ll have a small towel and a bottle of fresh water at your disposal, just in case.
  • During your float, you can fall asleep – you are safe. The facility is equipped with an audio system that will notify you when the float session ends.
  • The magnesium solution is slippery and oily, so when you exit the tank, let the solution drain well and use the small towel to avoid water dripping on the floor, as it can be slippery. Please use slippers when leaving the tank.
  • Breathing can be a wonderful tool to calm your mind and relax your body. First, try to breathe through your nose. Consciously attempt to take deep breaths, but once you settle into a rhythm, try not to control your breath – just observe it. Your body will always remember to breathe. 
  • For a comfortable position and full relaxation, two positions are recommended:
    • Hands by your sides, palms down.
    • Hands beside your head, palms up, forming an angle of approximately 90 degrees between your hands and your body.
  • Try to position yourself in the center of the tank to avoid touching the edges. Adjust your position only using your fingers or toes, slowly, while remaining calm. Once satisfied with your position and feeling comfortable, stay still and relax all of your muscles.
  • You will be notified when the session ends. Don’t worry if it feels like it’s taking too long – most of our guests want to return to the tank as soon as possible.

After the Session:

  • After exiting, a warm shower will remove the Epsom salt from your body.
  • If you’re feeling social, we recommend staying in our relaxation room; we guarantee you won’t become bored.
  • Afterwards, we greatly appreciate any feedback to help us improve our services.
